Report of the Pathoremanush:              (The Narrative of labor)
Project funded by  Goethe Institute:       (Five million incident)

It's a Process-based engagement, where documentation and interaction are the primary concern of the space. As we know, Bricks factories everywhere exist in the country and outside of the country. But the question about how it's work?

So, in this context, I started my engagement in Silchar, one of the brick kill factories within many factories. This place earlier was tea state land, as the name of the silcoorie tea state. That land sold to bricks manufacturers in time of approx. 90's.  As fast visit interaction with labor is quite silent, for each other, Elian relation & try to understanding Who? & why? After the contentious visit to the place, they started interaction slowly later; it's become a comfort zone.

Problem with North-East area weather is the major issue because of rain where they can work a maximum of six months during the summer and wintertime. During the rain time, they are doing their own fishery business. Fishery business is one of the essential survival factors for them. Due to low land, most of the farming areas covert to the wetland. These labor community shifted to the highland—every year, there house under the water in a situation of flood.

There two types of labor parts of the factory are permanent labor, and another is daily labor. Continuous employment mostly comes from different states' major components from Bihar state. The regular job is from local. They have work division like daily labor are involved with Making & carrying. Permanent labored are involved with arranging the bricks and burring conditions. Because they have to work and till night to check the status of the blocks.

The company took different tow sources of labor because they are facing any problem due to labor wages or some demands from the labor part. Sometimes labor group split with migrated and local employment, so the labor Union is failure sometimes. During the time, work never stop run by the migrated worker.

Labor wages are different, too; Permanent migrated labor earns a basic monthly salary. Also, they are getting room to stay over there. Commune kitchen for them, and daily worker for them they don't have a fixed salary, if they are making one brick, then they will get approx.01:00 rs, how many bricks they can make in one day they will get one-day wages. Earlier it was approx — 0.60 paisa. Blocks are carrying labour for female earn in one round with eight cubes they get approx. 1.50 rs. For male 14 blocks get approx — 2:00 rs per round. For them, wages are challenging to survive with their family; that's why next-generation is less part of the primary education or higher education. Due to the wage crisis for the Satanity is too high.
